バックストリート・ボーイズがNEWアルバム『DNA』のリリースを発表！！
今回はその中から新曲 "Chances" です！
ショーン・メンデス & ワン・リパブリックのライアン・テダーとの豪華共作によって生まれたこのラヴソングで、同時公開されたMVでは駅で偶然出会った2人の恋愛模様が描かれています。
プレコーラス(Pre-Chorus)部分の "What are the odds?" は同義語でタイトルにもなっている "Chances" ＝「可能性/見込みはどのくらいか？」というほぼ同じ意味合い！今回は「こんな場所に君がいる、こんなチャンスがあるなんて」を＝「偶然」と訳しています。
サビの最初に出てくる "What are the chances that we'd end up dancing?" には
"What are th chances" =「どのくらいの可能性/確率があるのか」+
"we'd end up dancing?" = "end up ~ing" で「最終的にある場所に落ち着いたり~する状況になる(予期していなかったけれどこうなった)]「最終的に私たちが踊ることになる状況は」
つまり、「僕ら2人がこのたくさんの人々の中で出逢ってダンスをする、そんな可能性は一体どれくらいあるんだろう」ということですが、もっとシンプルに「僕ら2人が踊るにはどのくらいのチャンスがあるんだろう？」というようにまとめました。:))))
アルバムは来年2019年1月25日に全世界でリリース、日本では1月23日です！
